Welcome Bishop’s Society Curate Sarah Miller
The Diocese has just hired the second Bishop’s Society Curate, Sarah Miller. Sarah will serve on staff at Trinity Cathedral in Omaha for 18 months before moving west for the second half of her work in the diocese.
Sarah Miller is a native of Decatur, Alabama. After joining the Episcopal Church in high school, she attended the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, where she majored in English Literature and participated in the life of All Saints’ Chapel as a member of the University Choir. She is an alumna of the Episcopal Service Corps program in New Orleans, Louisiana, serving first as an intern and then as Community Center Director at All Souls Church & Community Center, a diocesan mission in the Lower 9th Ward. Sarah returned to Sewanee for seminary and is expected to graduate in May of 2015. She was a member of the Task Force for Reimagining the Episcopal Church and is a lay deputy to General Convention 2015.
