Proclaiming the Good News of God in Christ

Meet New Transitional Deacon Chris Slane

Transitional Deacon Chris Slane

In addition to ordination, this is more exciting news from Chris:

I got to see an ultrasound and a video of the newest addition to Melanie’s (my wife) and my family.  We don’t know the gender yet, but we do know the baby is due in November.  It is a really neat thing to see and be a part of this development process and the words of Psalm 139 keep playing over and over in my mind.  “For you yourself created my inmost parts and knit me together in mother’s womb.  I will thank you because I am marvelously made, your works are wonderful and I know it well.  My body was not hidden from you while I was being made in secret, and woven in the depths of the earth.  Your eyes beheld my limbs yet unfinished in the womb, all of them were written in your book, they were fashioned day by day when as yet there were none of them.  How deep I find your thoughts O God, How great is the sum of them!”
