Deacons are invited to send biddings for prayers for the world to deaconbetsy@windstream.net by Thursday noon for each week’s gathering of biddings.

The deacons of our diocese bid your prayers:

For the community of Ferguson, Missouri; for true peace and justice for all.

For Florida State University. For the will to end gun violence in our schools, communities, and nation.

For people impacted by the heavy snows around Buffalo. For travelers and those who work outdoors in cold and snowy weather. For people seeking a warm shelter and those who care for them.

For people around the world impacted by extreme weather conditions, including those suffering from drought in Brazil, California, and around the world.

For leaders preparing for the Lima Climate Change Conference in December.

For people traveling in the coming week to Thanksgiving gatherings. For those who are alone. For those who provide food and shelter to strangers. For Downtown Episcopal Outreach in Omaha.

For wisdom and courage for President Obama, and safekeeping for the President and his family.

For people who are ill with the Ebola virus and for those caring for them. For public health officials, troops assigned to west Africa, and for the scientists working on effective medicines or vaccines.

For the family, friends, and colleagues of Peter Kassig. For an end to the violence of ISIS and other extreme factions in the Middle East.

For people who are ill with the Ebola virus and for those caring for them. For public health officials and for the scientists working on effective medicines or vaccines.

For the unemployed and those who are underemployed.

For the victims of physical, emotional, sexual, and verbal abuse; for an end to their suffering and healing from their wounds. For all of us to learn to recognize abuse, speak out against it, and do what is necessary to protect and support the victims of abuse.

For world leaders preparing for the UN Climate Summit, that his meeting might be a significant turning point in a constructive response to climate change.

For all those around the world by heavy rains and floods, wildfires, rising oceans, and drought.

For the victims of physical, emotional, sexual, and verbal abuse; for an end to their suffering and healing from their wounds. For all of us to learn to recognize abuse, speak out against it, and do what is necessary to protect and support the victims of abuse.

For people who are ill with the Ebola virus and for those caring for them. For public health officials and for the scientists working on effective medicines or vaccines.

For all refugees, especially unaccompanied children and families with young children, that they might find the safety and security they seek and compassionate people to help them.
